I don't know Spanish, what can I do at home to help?
You can practice the vocabulary at home! You can find the link to the resources on the page that matches your child's grade.
When do you meet?
We meet twice in the 6-day Specials rotation for 45 minutes.
What do you do in class?
We learn Spanish! We speak, listen, read, write, and play games in Spanish.
When will my student be fluent in Spanish?
I want to make sure we have fair and reasonable expectations for our students. We only meet about 60 times per year, and the goal of our program is to gain an interest in learning a language. Students will be able to create some simple, practiced sentences, ask some simple questions, and answer some simple and practiced questions in Spanish. That being said, the more that students practice their vocabulary, the better they will remember it. I highly encourage you to follow and learn along with your kids by clicking on the page according to your child’s grade. There you’ll see what we are learning, and some resources to help study at home!
